Business Analyst – Policy Team
Houston, TX

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst to join our Policy team. Increasing Results and Expectations), its educational-improvement and performance-management model. ASPIRE comprises four key components, including Developing Human Capital. Since the launch of ASPIRE, the district has garnered national attention for its use of value-added data to guide instructional decision-making and drive a system of differentiated compensation. The district is now seeking to leverage these reform efforts to maximize its impact on student achievement by reaching these student outcomes.

Role and Responsibilities

The Business Analyst will analyze complex business problems in the area of identifying, evaluating and developing processes, procedures, functional testing, data quality and workflows related to the tracking and reporting of teacher performance data in PeopleSoft. The Business Analyst will work closely with the Design and Implementation teams for HISD’s new teacher appraisal and development system and HISD’s PeopleSoft team to translate the business needs of the new appraisal and development system into efficient and user-friendly tools.
